We are a FAMILY business.
Leo DeBuck started selling sod in 1956 in Macomb, MI. As the father of
eight children he was looking to branch out from vegetable farming and
thought sod might be more profitable. He started the Davison farm in
1963 and taught his five boys how to farm and run the business.
His son Alan now runs the Davison operation. Alan also has three
brothers that independently run sod farms: Norman in Belleville, MI, David
in Delavan, WI and Leonard in Pine Island, NY.
Also working at DeBuck's Sod Farm in Davison are Alan's wife Dawn, his
son Kevin, daughter Diane, and son-in-law Greg.
